In the nineties Sonja was performing an original, fiery form of acoustic music she referred to as "acid folk" in psychedelic and acoustic clubs and festivals in London and around the UK. Sometimes completely acoustically, sometimes loud, heavy and spacey. She released two CDs, 'Songs from the Acid Folk' and 'Harmonics of Love.'
