Sonja's work "Cri de Coeur" was released on the 14th of April, 2003. A one-off departure from her self-penned material, it is a unique adventure for Sonja -- exploring poignant Jazz Standards and Music Theatre songs in a melancholy smoky, ambient mood .... 'shades of love and motherhood and longing for romance' ..spacious haunting music evocative of Satie or Badelamenti. Cri de Coeur is co-produced by left-field ambient producer, composer and cellist Marvin Ayres. The CD includes an experimental film by Pete Gomes (mutantfilm.com) of Sonja and her band performing the track 'Lullaby'.
